Empowering, Structured, Multisensory Literacy

(5.0) · 2 Reviews

As an experienced educator and the founder of MultiModal Learning (also known as Multimodal literacy), I am passionate about providing personalized and structured literacy support for children, particularly those with dyslexia. My approach integrates multimodal learning—combining visual, auditory, and kinesthetic techniques—to help learners build strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills.

With a deep understanding of structured literacy, I focus on breaking down the building blocks of language, making foundational skills like letter formation, phonics, and reading comprehension accessible for learners at all levels. My lessons are designed to help students develop automaticity in their reading and writing, reducing cognitive overload and boosting confidence.

In addition to offering resources and courses, I maintain a private practice, working directly with students in one-on-one and small group settings. Whether in person or online, I ensure that lessons remain multisensory, allowing students to fully engage and learn through multiple channels. I love working online because it makes intervention more accessible, allowing us to reach more learners and making it easier for families to access the support they need, no matter where they are.

I also collaborate with teachers, parents, and homeschoolers, offering practical strategies that fit seamlessly into classroom environments or home-based learning. My goal is to empower educators and parents with the tools they need to support their children’s literacy journey, while making learning engaging and fun.

Whether you're looking to fill in gaps, start at the basics, or support a child with dyslexia, I provide resources, courses, and direct support to ensure every learner has the opportunity to succeed.

Understanding Dyslexia: A Guide for Parents

As a parent of two boys with dyslexia, I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to navigate the educational system—especially when the early signs are dismissed or misunderstood. I only wish Kira’s course had been available when my sons were in Kindergarten. "Understanding Dyslexia: A Guide for Parents" is exactly what I needed back then. Kira clearly explains how to recognize dyslexia signs by age and development, offers practical support strategies for home, and—most importantly—walks parents through how and when to seek a formal diagnosis. She demystifies the process and empowers parents to advocate for their child in school with confidence and clarity. What sets this course apart is the compassion and practicality Kira brings to such a personal topic. It’s not just about understanding dyslexia—it’s about helping your child succeed emotionally and academically. Every parent of a struggling reader should take this course. It’s a lifeline.
