Being Healed, delivered and set free
Spiritual Stunted Growth: Our spiritual journey can encounter obstacles that hinder growth. Here are a few reasons why our spiritual development might be stunted:
Stunted growth resulting from abuse can profoundly impact emotional and psychological development. When trauma occurs early in life, it can disrupt normal growth processes, leaving individuals emotionally “stuck” at the age they experienced the trauma. Here’s how it happens:
Emotional Stagnation: Traumatic events overwhelm both the mind and body, leaving lasting imprints on mood, relationships, and self-perception. If healing doesn’t occur, the trauma can impede healthy development. Essentially, your entire way of being may revolve around that traumatic incident, affecting thought patterns and behaviors as you age1.
Age Regression: Age regression occurs when you feel or act emotionally younger than your actual age. These child-like behavior patterns resurface when you feel unsafe or encounter triggers related to past trauma. The memory of trauma is stored in both the brain and body, influencing your responses as you grow older1.
Early Life Traumas: Abuse, neglect, accidents, and bullying during childhood can lead to arrested psychological development. Using drugs or other coping mechanisms to mask pain can further hinder emotional growth2.
Remember, healing and proper support can help you move toward understanding, resilience, and growth.
Set Personal Goals: Write down your goals and place them where you’ll be reminded. Make growth a priority by dedicating specific time to nurture your spiritual well-being.
