What you'll learn

In this course, you will learn why and how to develop the skills and habits for intuitive and effective time management:

This first class starts with establishing the need and the habits, and then the pattern to build continual awareness of the things that go into how you use your time:

  • Daily recognition of the need to manage your time actively
  • Awareness of how you currently use your time, and why
  • How and what to learn from the gap between intent and actual use of time

These courses, as they are for habit and skill change, are intended for the learner to do the activities from each lesson for three to five days before moving on to the next lesson. For added support, consider the companion academy offerings.

This section shows you information about the author, the course, and how to use it

Looking at this course, you probably already have some idea of why personal time management is important, but most people think it's only a little important: By the end of this section, you will understand what is at stake.

In this section, you will learn and initiate the skill and habit development for the basic daily cycle using the journal and calendar tools to understand how you are spending your time.

Runners benefit by regulating their breathing according to their pace and the speed they need to go. In this section, you will learn how to be aware of the difference between what you planned and what you did each day, and what it tells you over time to help you regulate your priorities. You will learn to evaluate the changes and separate potentially demotivating self-criticism into a time frame where it can be evaluated accurately and have a more positive impact on your motivation.

After this section, you will be able to summarize the knowledge and skills you've learned, and how to continue to develop the habits for the mastery of owning and making the most of your time. When you've been doing this for a bit, you'll be ready for the second course in the series, getting more intentional about priorities!
