Every story starts from the inside out.

Your outer story reflects your inner story.

What do you tell yourself?  Are you focused on possibilities or problems?

Science has proven that our mind defaults into negative thoughts most of the time. 

What can we do about it?   We can take action by programming our mind with positive affirmations.

Take a listen to the affirmations on the video.  Add your own.  Practice speaking and listening to affirmations on a daily basis.

They DO make a difference!

There are so many ways to use storytelling in building your business!

To make a bigger difference to you, I decided to offer a series of Story Tips.   

Here's Tip #1:  Gather testimonials!

Whenever you work with people -- whether it's for a short project or a long-term arrangement, after you've completed your work, ask the client for a testimonials.

Prospects like to know that you've been successful in serving others.  That knowledge will often be the reason they decide to work with you too.  

One of my favorite sayings is, "People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care."

So -- show them you care by serving them well... and then asking for a testimonial.

You can post that testimonial on social media, your website, on a video or blog.

Testimonials demonstrate that you've been successful for others.  They can influence more people to work with you.

And of course, everyone loves to hear positive feedback.

Your Business Doesn’t Need More Content—It Needs a Story System

Stories are happening in your business every day.
 Client conversations. Challenges. Breakthroughs. Lessons learned.

The problem isn’t a lack of stories.
 It’s that most of them are never captured.

For years, I thought storytelling happened after success—once everything was polished. 

(I tend to be a perfectionist, and that doesn't help when you want to get things done!)

What I’ve learned is that the most powerful stories are found in the middle of the journey, not at the end.

Everything changed when I created a simple system for capturing stories as I lived them.

Here’s what that looks like:

1️⃣ One place to capture stories
A notes app, journal, or voice memo—just one. Consistency matters more than format.

2️⃣ Capture moments, not masterpieces
Jot down what surprised you, challenged you, or moved you emotionally. Raw notes are enough.

3️⃣ Name the lesson
Finish this sentence:
“This experience taught me…”
That lesson is what turns a personal moment into leadership content.

4️⃣ Review weekly
Patterns emerge when you look back—those patterns become your message.

I wish I had captured more of my journey earlier—not for content, but for clarity. 

A story system doesn’t just help you market better. It helps you see how far you’ve come—and what you’re uniquely qualified to teach.

We can stop outselves -- even right now -- to pause and reflect on the lessons we learn from an experience.

As a friend shared with me, "There are no mistakes.  Only lessons."

Do you realize how vital your stories are?  

We all connect with one another through our stories.  

Stories define who we are.  Stories create bonds of trust.  Stories build relationshipis.

And the most important point to remember is:  WE GET TO CHOOSE OUR STORIES.  

The stories we tell ourselves are most important.

Simply stated -- We choose our thoughts -- which become our stories -- that lead to our actions. 

AND WE GET TO CHOOSE!  So -- let's choose positive words.

If you don't agree with this foundation, then this site is not the right place for you. 

Because we're a community for positive storytelling.  Both inner and outer.

While you're here, I want you to keep in mind -- there are no mistakes.   Only lessons.

YOU are here for a reason.  

And -- I believe you are put here on earth for a reason.  A Higher Reason.

We can make the most of our time by choosing words that empower, inspire and uplift.  

We make a difference by simply "BEING" us.   You never know who needs to hear YOUR story right now to make a difference in their life.
