Her personal journey of surviving and overcoming 15 years of domestic violence—including repeated physical abuse, sexual assault, and two near-death experiences by strangulation—is a testimony to her unbreakable spirit.

To save her life, she had to make the impossible choice: leave everything behind, including her two sons. Years later, one has returned to her after reaching adulthood—a full-circle moment of healing and reconnection. She rebuilt her life from scratch, relocating from Switzerland to the United States without speaking English, and chose healing over bitterness, love over fear.
