What you'll learn

Are walks with your dog starting to feel like a stressful chore instead of a joyful bonding experience? Whether it’s the hustle and bustle of busy streets, unpredictable weather, or your dog’s unique needs, walks aren’t always the best option for every day. This course invites you to reimagine how you spend quality time with your dog by introducing a variety of creative, fun, and fulfilling activities that go beyond the traditional walk.

We’ll explore how to meet your dog’s physical, mental, and emotional needs through engaging alternatives that work for your lifestyle. From sensory enrichment to mental stimulation and breed-specific activities, this course will provide you with practical ideas to create a more balanced, happy, and stress-free life with your dog.

Who Is This Course For?
This course is perfect for:

  • Dog parents seeking fresh, fun and engaging ways to enrich their dog's life beyond daily walks.
  • People with sensitive, reactive, or anxious dogs who find walks overwhelming.
  • Those dealing with physical limitations, harsh weather conditions, or urban environments that make walks less enjoyable.
  • Dog owners looking to deepen their connection with their dog through activities tailored to their unique personality, temperament, and needs.

What Are the Benefits?
By the end of this course, you and your dog will:

  • Experience a more relaxed and harmonious bond by reducing stress and focusing on activities that suit both your needs.
  • Discover new ways to exercise and stimulate your dog’s mind and body, even when walks aren’t possible.
  • Learn to meet your dog’s breed-specific and individual needs, fostering a sense of fulfillment and balance.
  • Build confidence and resilience in your dog by providing safe, enjoyable, and engaging alternatives to traditional outings.
  • Gain insights into how enrichment activities promote overall physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing for both of you.

Content

In this introduction video we address some of the challenges of walking our dogs and what we can do to meet their physical, mental, social and emotional needs in different ways through fun and engaging activities that promote connection, co-operation, trust and confidence. You will learn how to choose the best activities for you and your dog tailored to individual needs, your dogs breed traits, temperament, age and learning level - prioritizing safety and comfort to foster a positive experience.

The activities and games in this course are intended to be fun for you and your dog, and to build trust, communication and co-operation skills. If however, you find your dog is not willing to participate (there could be a number of reasons for this), or you are struggling to help your dog understand what you are asking them to do - you may need a little help with some trouble-shooting or further assistance. In this section I have provided answers to a few FAQ's and also ways you can get in touch with me should you have a more specific question.

Requirements

This course includes 15 activities fun and engaging activities with video tutorials for each one.

  • Activities can be adjusted to suit all levels, ages, breeds and of course for loving humans too.

So bring along a smile and a good sense of humour, as you and your dog learn to engage with each other on a whole new level!
