Stephanie King Mattingly is a highly accomplished author, international speaker, media host, and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in the media industry. A graduate of Trinity University with a B.A. in Print and Broadcast Journalism, Stephanie launched her career at the young age of 18, quickly establishing herself as a dynamic and trusted voice in television news.

Stephanie's media journey began at San Antonio's NBC affiliate, where she swiftly rose from associate producer to on-air news reporter while still in college. Her talent and dedication led her to anchor positions in San Antonio and New Orleans, where she served as a primary evening news anchor for NBC. Throughout her career, Stephanie has excelled in a wide range of roles, including corporate spokesperson, video producer, and voice actor, gaining recognition for her articulate on-camera presence and her ability to connect with diverse audiences.

Her work has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Barbara Jordan Media Award from the Texas Governor’s Commission and the International Association of Business Communicators Bronze Quill Award. She has produced compelling content for national television programs, corporate training videos, and commercials, consistently demonstrating her expertise in video production management, investigative reporting, and community relations.

In addition to her media career, Stephanie is the founder of the brand Confident Freedom: Release and Walk a Powerful Life, a platform dedicated to empowering individuals to overcome personal and professional challenges. She is also the author of the forthcoming book, The Secret You Hide Holds You Back: How Letting Go Sweetens Life & Makes You Free, which explores the impact of hidden pain on personal well-being.

Stephanie’s broad experience also includes serving as an adjunct instructor at USC Upstate, where she shared her knowledge of media production and communication with the next generation of professionals. She is married to Gary Mattingly, with whom she reconnected after 35 years; their unique love story began when they were both television news co-anchors. Together, they reside in Simpsonville, South Carolina, where they enjoy the natural beauty of the Upstate.

Stephanie is married to her former New Orleans news cco-anchor, Gary Mattingly.  She is a proud mother of two—Johnathon Wesley, 30, and Christina Grace, 24—who are her greatest sources of inspiration. Her faith is central to her life, guiding her in all her endeavors. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys journaling, video editing, and engaging in her local faith community.
