Kathleen earned her Master of Divinity degree from Luther Theological Seminary in St. Paul, MN and was ordained in 1980. She has served a rural parish; on the staff of a congregation with 6000 members; as interim chaplain at a multi-level retirement community; and in a team ministry with her husband, who is also an ELCA pastor. Kathleen completed a year of Clinical Pastoral Education and became certified by the ELCA to serve as a chaplain. She has been trained as a coach and a mentor, was a Field Education supervisor for seminary students for 14 years and is the first clergy person to become a Fascinate® Certified Advisor. Kathleen retired from parish ministry in 2014. For 5.5 years she hosted “Aflame Ministry,” a weekly interfaith internet radio show and podcast.  In 2023 she launched The Tilted Halo podcast. Both shows are available on all major podcast platforms. Kathleen has also become a Certified Positive Prime Practitioner, combining positive psychology and the latest neuroscience. Kathleen coaches women of faith in leadership and uses the How To Fascinate® material and Positive Prime to help them grow and nurture their own lives, their family, their work and community.
