Great Connections Make Great Relationships!
Relationships can be challenging...even good relationships. That's why, in today's world, it is even more important than ever before to communicate with clarity so that everyone is seen, heard, respected, and understood. When we can connect consistently and consciously, then we get to have relationships that bring us joy, peace, and support.
Taking The Connection Advantage Fundamentals course can help you:
Whether you want to reduce stress at home or increase collaboration at work, this course will help you develop a goodwill mindset, build mindfulness habits, and use empathy skills to create thriving relationships that bring you greater ease and happiness.
Welcome to The Empathy Advantage Fundamentals online course! In this module I will introduce you to the concept I call "The Empathy Advantage" and why it is important for you. Then, I will give you an overview of what we will cover throughout the course and let you know what extras are available for you to help you learn these valuable tools that will help you create satisfying relationships.
In every aspect of your life, you have power. You have the power to choose how you will show up, as well as how you will treat yourself and those around you. But, what happens when you feel powerless, or you believe that you don't have a choice? That is when you need to tap into the Power of Choice. The lessons in this module will show you how.
Keeping clear on our intentions and choices is dependent upon keeping them in mind. Keeping something in mind, or remembering, is the Power of Mindfulness. This power enables us to become and remain fully present to each other and to what is happening in each moment, each encounter. In this module, you will learn ways to build your "mindfulness muscles", which can help you to be more aware of what is happening within you, along with awareness of what is happening in your communications with others.
Self-empathy is simply the ability to be mindful in each moment of what you feel and what the feeling is telling you about what you need, or what need has been satisfied. When you have that in mind, you can make healthier, clearer, more powerful choices for your life.
Now that you know you have the power to make choices that can improve your life, and you’ve learned how to stay mindful and present, you can do something really special—you can give empathy to yourself and to others. Giving empathy to someone else works the same way as giving it to yourself. You just use the same steps and focus on the other person. In this module, I will show you how to listen for their feelings and needs...even when they can't identify them.
Love is a process, not a sentimental emotion. It is a process that includes emotion, goodwill, mindfulness, and much more. Learn how to live in the power of love and have the quality of connection you need in order to create relationships you love with people you love.
Congratulations on completing the main content of The Empathy Advantage course. Now you have the tools you need to be able to create relationships built on respect, understanding, and trust. Now, let's celebrate your learning and transformation!
