An Interview with Dr. Pamela J. Pine on
Listen to Dr. Pamela J. Pine's wonderful life journey and commitment to child protection and safety.
Pamela J. Pine, PhD, MPH has been an international health, development, and communication professional throughout her adult life, supporting the lives of poor and otherwise underserved groups, with a two-decade specialty on preventing and mitigating child sexual abuse (CSA) and other adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
In the year 2000, the receipt of an early request for proposal from CDC addressing interpersonal violence sent her down a path of amazement and horror at the numbers involved in CSA and the devastation it causes, and she committed to doing something about it.
She is the original Founder of Stop the Silence®: Stop Child Sexual Abuse, and when Stop the Silence® became a Department of the Institute on Violence, Abuse and Trauma (IVAT), she became its Director, focusing on CSA and other ACEs.
She is also a professional speaker, public health professor, best-selling and award-winning author (including lead author of Stop the Silence® - Thriving After Child Sexual Abuse), and a multimedia artist, which she uses in her work to open hearts and minds.
